	Giorgia Gastaldon &egrave; ricercatrice in Storia dell&rsquo;Arte Contemporanea presso l&rsquo;Universit&agrave; degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata. In precedenza &egrave; stata ricercatrice all&rsquo;Universit&agrave; degli Studi dell&rsquo;Insubria e coordinatrice scientifica del progetto Italian Council "Now we have seen. Women and Art in 1970s Italy" presso la Bibliotheca Hertziana &ndash; Max Planck Institute for Art History di Roma. &nbsp;Nel 2014 ha ottenuto un dottorato in Storia dell&rsquo;Arte presso l&rsquo;Universit&agrave; degli Studi di Udine con una tesi sulla pittura d&rsquo;esordio di Mario Schifano pubblicata nel 2021. Ha ottenuto borse post-doc di ricerca dal Getty Research Institute, dalla Bibliotheca Hertziana, dalla Fondazione Ragghianti, dall&rsquo;Universit&agrave; degli Studi di Udine. Parallelamente alla sua carriera accademica, lavora anche come curatrice e ha in particolare co-curato la mostra "Accardi. Contesti" al Museo del Novecento di Milano e "Unica. Sei storie di artiste italiane" allo Spazio Ilisso di Nuoro. Ha all&rsquo;attivo diverse pubblicazioni scientifiche incentrate sulla ricezione dell&rsquo;arte americana in Italia, il ruolo giocato dalle riviste nell&rsquo;aggiornamento degli artisti, la critica d&rsquo;arte italiana, l&rsquo;arte delle donne, la questione di genere nella rappresentazione delle artiste e nell&rsquo;arte astratta. Ha tenuto seminari e conferenze presso diverse istituzioni italiane e internazionali tra cui Magazzino Italian Art (Cold Spring), SMFA at Tufts University (Boston), Palazzo delle Esposizioni (Roma), Center for Italian Modern Art (New York), Christie's Education (New York), Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, Josef Albers Museum (Bottrop), Museo del Novecento (Milano), Stanford Humanities Center, Universit&agrave; di Ginevra.</p></document><document><p>
	Giorgia Gastaldon is a Researcher in Contemporary Art History at Universit&agrave; degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata. She previously held the same position at the University of Insubria and served as the scientific coordinator of the Italian Council-funded project "Now We Have Seen. Women and Art in 1970s Italy", hosted by the Bibliotheca Hertziana &ndash; Max Planck Institute for Art History in Rome. In 2014, she earned a Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Udine with a dissertation on the early painting of Mario Schifano, which was published in 2021. She has been awarded postdoctoral fellowships by major international research institutions, including the Getty Research Institute, the Bibliotheca Hertziana, the Fondazione Ragghianti, and the University of Udine. Alongside her academic career, she also works as an independent curator. Notably, she co-curated the exhibitions "Accardi. Contexts" at the Museo del Novecento in Milan and "Unica. Six Stories of Italian Women Artists" at the Spazio Ilisso in Nuoro. She has authored numerous scholarly publications focusing on topics such as the reception of American art in Italy, the role of magazines in updating Italian artists, Italian art criticism, women&rsquo;s art, and gender issues in the representation of women artists and in abstract art.
